I brought an expensive reproduction of Icarus to John for framing. To flatten out the curve in the paper, from being stored in a cylinder, he forcibly rolled it in the opposite direction. The damage done meant that the border clearly showed creases and the picture had marks on it. Something that was of great importance to me that was kept in perfect condition was reduced to a damaged state that other framers could not correct. No amount of savings are worth the risk to your belongings, especially if they are valuable or of great sentimental importance.

Called to ask whether John had a specific type of hanging method available. Totally unhelpful. Totally monotone "nope....... I don't know about that". That's all he said. I would go somewhere that had better customer service. We shouldn't keep supporting people who are rude and don't seem to care. Finally, I said "okay, thank you"... and he just hung up.
